Piriformis Syndrome: What is it?

Piriformis Syndrome consists of the symptoms that result from mechanical impingement or irritation of the sciatic nerve as it emerges from the pelvis. This can be pain, tingling, burning, or numbness that worsens with movement of the hip into adduction, internal rotation, and flexion.
